Michelle has been part of the support staff here at McDonnell Schroder for over 30 years. Michelle joined the firm in approximately 1986 when it was formerly Moffatt Sullivan and completed a traineeship at the Metropolitan Business College. Michelle has worked on and off over several years with the firm. In between periods of working with us she completed a Diploma of Performing arts.
Michelle has worked in varying areas of the firm including motor vehicle accidents and workers compensation claims. Michelle has joined the firm again recently and is working in the area of Personal injury law. Michelle continues to have a keen interest in TV and film acting and the performing arts.
Margaret is an institution at McDonnell Schroder. She was the inspiration for our Schofields office. Margaret has been running firstly the personal injury section, followed by the conveyancing and probate section for many years.
Margaret is the go-to person for all the staff at McDonnell Schroder, solicitor, paralegal and secretary alike.
Sharon Jackson is a lawyer with McDonnell Schroder. Sharon has been a part of the accredited personal injury specialist, Anthony McDonnell’s litigation team for more than 20 years.
The team has been very successful in helping clients get their maximum compensation entitlements after workplace injuries, car accidents, falls and other types of negligence actions. Sharon has strong family connections in Blacktown. Her family moved to Blacktown from country NSW in the 1940s and she grew up here, attending Blacktown South Primary and Mitchell High School.
Sharon is a law graduate of the University of New England and is practicing in litigation and employment fields, using her background in Blacktown to set a strong foundation for her practice.
Suzanne Kinsley has been our bookkeeper since 2012. After working, predominantly in legal firms for over 30 years in Sydney, she moved to the Blue Mountains for a “tree change” in 2003 after completing a B.Sc from Macquarie University in the areas of Earth Sciences/Plant Biology.
Further studies followed with a Masters by Thesis, “Blue Mountains Banksias: Sceptics of Climate Change?”, from UNE, Armidale, in the areas of Botany/Plant Biology. Studies were undertaken along Linden Ridge with permission from National Parks and Wildlife Service.
With a desire to assist the bushfire prone Blue Mountains District, Suzanne joined the volunteer NSW Rural Fire Service in 2004 and, over the years, has held various positions including Treasurer, Community Engagement Officer and Deputy Captain. In addition, further studies in Botany/Plant Biology and the study of Auslan are in the pipeline.
Anneke Jacobs was admitted as a solicitor in 2015 and holds degrees in both psychology and law. She has been undertaking property work since she started as a solicitor and is experienced in all areas of conveyancing including the sale and purchase of real estate, refinancing, leasing, and inter-family transfers.
Anneke is also experienced in providing advice in relation to estate management including advice on wills, powers of attorney and appointments of enduring guardian, and the administration of deceased estates. Anneke utilises her vast knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive and practical legal advice and always strives to ensure that her clients are properly supported in what can often be an emotional process. Anneke greatly enjoys working in a community-driven suburban firm where she can provide a personalised approach in all dealings with clients.
Julie has worked as a Legal Secretary in western Sydney for over 25 years.
Julie provides paralegal assistance to Joseph Sampson, our Family Law, Criminal and Debt Recovery Solicitor. Julie has extensive knowledge and experience and has strong administrative and interpersonal skills. Julie is friendly and caring and is highly regarded amongst her peers.
Julie was appointed a Justice of the Peace on 11 September 1991.
Life outside of the office for Julie includes spending quality time with family, friends and her pet dog. She also loves gardening and traveling.
Tiffany is McDonnell Schroder’s receptionist. Tiffany has worked for McDonnell Schroder for 16 years. Tiffany has worked in Solicitors offices for over 30 years and prior to working as a receptionist, she was a secretary to partners in law firms at Liverpool and Sydney. Tiffany, currently in addition to her duties as receptionist is responsible for the preparation and compiling of invoices for the family law division.
Tiffany is extremely competent in her duties and provides attention to detail in all tasks.
Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys catching up with friends and family and traveling.

Dion is completing his final year of law at SCU also holds a degree in Environmental Science and Management. He has been working in legal services since 2018 and has experience in medical negligence, health law, local government and planning law. Dion aims to finish his LLB in 2022 with an honour’s dissertation focusing on Indigenous water access and security in the Murray Darling River Basin. He understands the issues facing the local community and aims to provide personalised assistance to each client.
